Compiling contributions such as food and drink recipes**, artwork, photography, music… predominantly from Bay-Area makers of Asian heritage including prominent chefs, artists, and other creatives, over the course of 44 full color pages, this zine asks “what does expressing solidarity with Black Lives look like and mean to non-Black AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islanders)?”
To our AAPI communities, we hope the stories shared can inspire each of us to find our own answers. Colorism and anti-Blackness are prevalent in many of our cultures here and abroad, and we have work to do.
To our white readers, we hope this insight into the minds of our contributors will strengthen your dedication to ending the war on Black and Brown folks.
To all, we hope you enjoy this read.
